Safe, Legal, and Why Do You Care
Dear antiabortion concern trolls,
Even if you did everything in the world to encourage women not to have abortions, up to and including making contraception free, providing no-cost, easy-to-access daycare, state-subsidised in-home childcare, laws forcing employers to give flextime to anyone who requests it, "baby bonus" money, free prenatal care (where it doesn't already exist), and anything and everything else you can think of...
...there would still be women who, for whatever of the plethora of reasons that exist, simply would not elect to have a baby. I realise this is hard for some of you to understand, but there are more reasons why a woman wouldn't want a(nother) baby than simply the economic or social reasons.
In any case, whether the reason is "I've already got two kids and I can't possibly take care of a third," or "I'm disgusted and repulsed by the very idea of undergoing gestation," why do you give a shit? It isn't your body on the line, and you're not the one who's going to have to raise the baby after it's born. And that's the crux of the matter there.
If someone would really rather not do the job, why do you want to force them? Would you trust your books to an accountant who had only become one because the state had told them they had to? That's just your finances; why would you trust a child to someone who only became a parent because the state told them they had to?
(In presuming to speak for the committed nullipara demographic, let me say that Your Humble Narrator really does despise babies, and would rather be shot than impregnated, so there is also that possibly-incomprehensible aspect, too.)

I have the utmost respect for those who are intelligent enough to have fully considered the matter of procreating and opted not to. There is much to be said for that level of reflection and the babies that are born do better when that level of thought has also been put into having and caring for them. Bravo.
Why do "we" care? Because "we" want a certain type of society with certain type of values.
Why do "you" care? Because "you" envisage a society with certain OTHER values (namely, feminist ones).
Really, it is that simple. Don't claim that you don't care or are neutral on the issue. You are anything but.
Feminists/leftists impose their view on the world when they demand the legality and availability of abortion. What's worse is that they claim this is not what they want.
What do we expect - hypocrisy is and has always been the foundation of feminism/leftism.
"Feminists/leftists impose their view on the world when they demand the legality and availability of abortion. What's worse is that they claim this is not what they want."
I.e. that they don't want to impose values on the world and that only "the right" does that.
Nobody ever held a gun to anyone's head and said "MAKE UP YOUR OWN MIND! DO WHAT'S BEST FOR YOU!" so you have a lot of nerve telling me I'm a hypocrite, and a fuck of a lot of nerve telling me I'm a hypocrite when you can't even be honest enough to post under even a pseudonym.
Stand up for your professed beliefs, you coward!
